THE CHALLENGE

Before GLEE could become a touring campus platform, it needed to be tested. The 2024 UNILAG edition was the proof-of-concept: could a free-entry, fully sponsor-funded festival pull a real crowd, deliver a full performance lineup, run a vendor village, and hold its own as a properly produced event, not just a campus party?

WHAT PHIZ DID

Phiz produced the full event from concept to execution. Free entry for all students, a vendor village, and a performance lineup that included Hyce, Boypee, Brown Joel, Soundz, Timi Martins, Lyta, Slimcase, Toby Shang, Toby Thugger, DJ Bellami, DJ Therapy and more. Sponsorship from Myecurrency, Betfuse, and Azuri funded the model, validating that brands would back the format.

THE OUTCOME

3,000+ attendees at the pilot edition. The model held: free entry, sponsor-funded, and fully produced. The UNILAG 2024 edition became the foundation on which the GLEE Festival 2026 tour was built, expanding to multiple campuses and a ticketed Lagos City Grand Finale.
